MINI SECTION

Welcome to the Howden AFC Home Page for the small-sided squads. As the name suggests, small-sided squads play in matches of less than 11 a side.

We currently run small-sided squads in the Selby & District Junior Football League and the Hull Boys' Sunday Football League. There are teams at Under 6, Under 7, Under 8 x 2, Under 9 and Under 10. Matches are played on Saturday mornings (plus 1 U8 team on Sundays), and there are often two teams per squad playing. This provides an excellent opportunity for children, boys AND girls, to enjoy the game of football and gain some valuable experience for the future.
