As the club has grown we have been looking to improve our facilities. We have identified a plot of land adjacent to Howden School which is suitable for our immediate needs. Following lengthy discussions with East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Howden School the club has obtained a lease on the land. We have also received funding from The FA to develop the land to provide 5 small-sided pitches. This funding, together with an additional sum from the club, will be used to clear the land. Once this has been done an area of the field will be drained, levelled and reseeded. It is hoped that the pitches will be ready for use in early 2004.

The pictures below are intended to provide an update on the progress.

The planning application is due to be heard on Tuesday 17th June. Provided we get the OK it is anticipated that work can begin within 3 - 4 days!

Delay as planning application deferred! Following concerns about the potential increase in noise the application fro change of use has been deferred until further investigations are carried out by the Council Public Protection Office. It is hoped that this will only be a temporary setback and that the objections and concerns prove unfounded.

23rd June: Planning application approved! Now waiting for formal go-ahead from East Riding Council before work can commence.

31st July: Everything is now in place to begin work as soon as contractor's other commitments allow. Lease agreement comences as of 1st August, and The FA have confirmed that all is in order with regards claiming the outstanding amount of the grant.
